Respect Your Elder
One of the dangers of any anonymous hook-up (whether it’s Grindr without a face picture or something more… traditional and transactional) is the possibility of running into someone that you have some prior relationship with. That can be…. awkward.
But it always amuses me when someone who is caught in a compromising situation tries to pretend that it’s something other than what it looks like, because the person catching them is just as compromised. Running into someone at a gay bar is the classic example, which I’m guessing most of my readers can relate to, but it isn’t the only one.
Some people are squicked out by some kinds of role-playing, and I get that. Some of it’s pretty creepy. But role play is still just role play. But for the sake of not getting icky, this is (probably) as far as I’m gonna take this particular story.
I’d respect my elders — but at my age they’re getting hard to find.
On the other hand, it means there are more younger men to admire!
But on the *other* hand, all I can do is admire.
If your dates are accurate, I’m about 17 or 18 years older than your protagonist.
That makes it kinda creepy to approach a guy the age of my nephews — or great nephews.
Yeah, I get that. We need to take enjoyment where we can get it, I guess.
