One of the many mistakes I’ve made was when I took a new job a few years ago. Taking the job wasn’t the mistake, but failing to shift things around to make room for it was.

You see, when I started posting Tales on Sundays at midnight, I had a regular Monday–Friday job with occasional work on Saturdays. So I almost always had Sundays free, which meant that if there was some work needed to finish up JAQrabbit Tales… no problem!

But the job I have now pretty much always has stuff for me to do on Sundays – a lot of it – and that routinely works out to Sunday evening. So now Sunday is pretty much the most busy day of my week, especially when you add in all the other people in my life who think that Sunday means “nothing to do,” and keep asking me to help them with something, or scheduling a social event, or whatever. Today I had some of both, and I couldn’t get out of either.

Which is a long way of explaining why the last page of this Tale is late.
